Access

The access industry concerns equipment and companies focused on working at height using powered or non-powered access equipment. It encompasses manufacturers producing self-propelled aerial platforms (or Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) – including scissor lifts, self-propelled booms and truck mounted lifts – as well as non-powered equipment such as push-around platforms or scaffolding. The access sector also includes rental companies who own and rent out access equipment, contractors and utility companies and other end users who use the equipment, and distributors and dealers who sell new and used machines. It is a US$40 million annual industry worldwide.

We offer engineering recruitment solutions across Generation, Transmission and Distribution (T&D) networks globally. Lawsons has huge experience in supporting our clients from design to construction, through to testing, commissioning and maintenance.

Lawsons works closely with the Tier 1 Contractors supporting the Distribution Network Operators (DNO'S) on underground and overhead networks 11Kv, 33kv up to 132kV. We also have consultants supporting Independent Connection Providers (ICP - NERS) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNO).

Power sources - whether diesel, electric or hybrid form – are required for an enormous range of mobile and stationary equipment, including commercial vehicles, off-road machines (in construction, mining and agriculture), marine and stationary power (gensets).
